Deleting your account is permanent. It can’t be undone.

What is deleted

Your profile, photo and sign-in methods: password, passkeys, authenticator and linked GitHub, Google or Apple sign-in
Your profiles, agent account links and settings
Your runs: their conversations, reports, attachments and run history
Your comments, your private projects, and the docs and designs only you can open
Organizations where you are the only member, with their workspaces and projects

What stays

Branches, commits and pull requests already on GitHub. They belong to your repositories.
Worktrees and clones on your computer. Delete them yourself if you want.
Work in organizations you share: shared projects and shared docs move to another owner of the organization, so teammates keep them.
